Privacy notice

This notice explains how Flurzi Cinema (“Flurzi”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you use our website, streaming service, Reels, subscriptions, tournaments and support channels.

1. Who is responsible for your information

Flurzi Cinema is the controller of personal information processed for this service. Privacy questions and rights requests may be sent to privacy@flurzicinema.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide, including your name, username, email address, support messages and account choices. For paid memberships, Stripe processes payment-card information; Flurzi receives transaction identifiers, billing status, plan and limited payment-method details rather than your complete card number.

When you use Flurzi, we collect viewing history, playback position, watchlist activity, searches, Reel interactions, advertisement events, subscription activity and technical diagnostics. We also process device and browser characteristics, IP-derived approximate location, security identifiers, login activity and fraud-prevention signals. Tournament participation may generate validated watch-time, eligibility, ranking, review and reward records.

3. Why we use information

We use information to provide accounts and streaming, remember progress, operate subscriptions, personalise discovery, administer tournaments and rewards, provide support, secure the service, detect abuse, measure reliability, comply with law and establish or defend legal claims.

Depending on where you live, our legal bases include performance of our contract, compliance with legal obligations, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting Flurzi, and consent where required. Optional analytics is disabled unless you choose “Allow analytics”. You can change that choice by clearing your Flurzi cookie preference and selecting again.

4. Automated security and fraud review

We use rules and risk signals to identify account sharing, automated viewing, replay manipulation, payment abuse and reward fraud. A signal may temporarily restrict playback, rewards or payouts, but material adverse decisions should be reviewed by an authorised person. You may contest a decision by contacting us.

5. When we share information

We share only what is reasonably necessary with service providers that host or support Flurzi. These may include Stripe for billing, Pusher for realtime features, cloud hosting and private-media storage providers, email or support providers, TMDB for public movie metadata, and Google Analytics when you consent. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect people or the service, in connection with a corporate transaction, or at your direction. We do not sell personal information for money.

6. Embedded media and international transfers

Trailers and discovery Reels embed videos through YouTube API Services. A trailer player connects when its title details are opened; the active Reel player connects automatically when you open or scroll to a reel. These connections send information, including your IP address and browser details, to Google. See the Google Privacy Policy and YouTube Terms of Service. Flurzi community likes, bookmarks, comments and replies are stored by Flurzi and are separate from activity on YouTube. Your username and comments are public; you can delete your own comments. Bookmarks are private to your account.

Film and series artwork may load directly from TMDB’s image service, which receives connection information such as your IP address and browser details. Provider credits are listed in the Credits section of our Terms.

Our providers may process information outside your country. Where required, we use recognised transfer safeguards and assess the protection available in the destination. You may request information about applicable safeguards.

7. Retention

We keep account and viewing information while your account is active and for a limited period afterwards. Playback diagnostics are retained only as long as needed for service quality and fraud review. Financial, security, tournament and reward-ledger records may be retained longer where required for tax, accounting, dispute, anti-fraud or legal obligations. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, obtain a portable copy, withdraw consent, and complain to a data-protection authority. You can update common account details and request deletion in Account Settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

9. Cookies and local storage

Essential cookies and browser storage keep you signed in, remember security state, preserve playback and record your privacy choice. Optional analytics storage is used only with permission. Browser controls can remove stored data, although disabling essential storage may prevent parts of Flurzi from working.

10. Security

We use administrative, technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, signed media links, encrypted transport, event replay protection and monitoring. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please use a unique password and report suspected account misuse promptly.

11. Children

Flurzi is not directed to children under 13 and they may not create an account. Where local law requires a higher age for independent consent, a parent or guardian must authorise use. Contact us if you believe a child provided information unlawfully.

12. Changes and contact

We may update this notice as Flurzi changes. We will post the revised date and provide additional notice where a change materially affects your rights. Questions, complaints and rights requests can be sent to privacy@flurzicinema.com. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission or the appropriate authority where you live.
